The Synergy of SEO and IM

Michael Richards - Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Search Engine Ranking Optimization and Online Marketing are not mutually exclusive. The two must be blended to generate revenue.

How would you evaluate your level of understand regarding converting your targeted Internet traffic after acquiring it?

Do you genuinely believe that your web pages should, and must produce sales for you initiatives to be successful? And if so, then how are they (web pages) going to produce this? What is the strategy or sales-funnel look like?

Online marketing in many respects is just like real world marketing and advertising, with the primary difference being you don't need to coerce people to buy your product. Hopefully that is not a new concept to many of you.

A good marketer will supply a qualified and legitimate need to the marketplace. Have you identified the needs of your prospective clients? Does your web copy address those needs?

Only weak salesmen resort to attempting to convince people that their item is a true need or is in demand from customers. The same is true of your online business presence. If you have to convince, you have already lost.

If your company is "leaving money on the table" in either area, we would love to help you figure out why, and then remediate the issues.

Affordable SEO is a reality - Yah, you heard me right!

Michael Richards - Thursday, February 04, 2010

Do you feel that Internet marketing, and in particular SEO is beyond your budget?

I propose that there is a strong consensus among business owners that Internet marketing is essential to growth. In fact for some it may be essential for business survival. There is a difference between knowing that something is needed, and knowing what is best for their business, in their industry.

A key Internet marketing tool that can benefit almost any business is SEO. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It primarily relates to being discovered in the organic section of a search results page. See below for an example.

Business owners have a better understanding of the process and implementation of SEO today than even a few years ago. Thankfully we are past the period in time where business owners thought what we did was associated with some sort of voodoo ritual.

The key to being able to deploy this type of work for small to medium sized businesses, (SEO), is often contingent on whether it fits into their marketing budget. Despite the fact that well performed Internet marketing is a revenue generator, many business owners still approach this form of marketing from the perspective that this is an expense. Fair enough. I can go with that up to a point.

Search Engine Optimization can be affordable. With the right research, the right approach, and the right implementation, it is possible to turn the corner on profitability on any sized plan.

If you started reading this with the impression that SEO was beyond your budget as a small or medium sized business, I want you to “refresh” your thinking. Contact us through our form, or pick up the phone and give us a call. I believe we can apply our “voodoo” on your behalf at a cost that you can believe in.

The vital importance of organic SEO

Michael Richards - Saturday, January 30, 2010
I’ve been reminded this past week of how important organic SEO, (search engine optimization), is to a marketing plan, whether for a business, church, or non-profit. Most organizations want to be found by those needing their product or service.

If the purpose of marketing is to be found by those needing what you have, or what you do, then the first commandment of that process is to do it at the lowest possible investment that will get the job done.

This is where organic SEO can give you the advantage. Unlike PPC, or paid search marketing, where you pay an amount to a search engine for each instance where a person clicks on the link of your ad to be directed into your site, organic SEO positions you in an area where it does not cost you anything to receive a click into your site.

Organic SEO is so important to your business. It is hard to overstate that fact. I encourage you to learn more about why organic SEO is so vital.

Is Google Attempting to Minimize Organic Listings?

Michael Richards - Tuesday, January 26, 2010
An interesting trend in search has been slowly appearing that seems to minimize organic search listings in Google. It is happening most often, from my observations, with local geographical searches.

The Sponsored Links along the right hand side have not changed, but the Sponsored Links at the top have expanded.

This drops the Google Local ads lower on the left hand side to the point where only the first two organic listings appear above the fold.

It is only a guess at this point as to whether this will be a pervasive trend. As any other publicaly traded company, Google will continue to figure out ways to capitalize on increasing revenue.

As Search Engine Optimizers, it will become even more critical to place our clients very high in organic search in order to be found above the fold. As a business owner, having a balanced approach that utilizes Paid Search, Google Local, AND Search
